I am writing to encourage my fellow citizens to join us in fulfilling this mission. They deserve a great sendoff and a final salute from an appreciative nation. Today, the Greatest Generation has slipped back into the shadows of life. They were our teachers, coaches, elected officials and served with us in local service organizations and businesses. World War II veterans like Wahlen once lived all among us. Four hundred seventy-two men were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for gallantry in the Second World War. Rabel and her father, Bill McNutt, came up with the idea to convince the president to designate a state funeral in Washington, D.C., for the final remaining Medal of Honor recipient from World War II, as a final salute to this hero. Prior to attending his funeral, Rabel watched videos of state funerals on YouTube. He stormed the beaches of Normandy and fought in the hedgerows. He was the oldest holder of the Congressional Medal of Honor at the time of his death in 2014. Where did this idea come from? Elementary school student Rabel McNutt was blessed to have Mr. This state funeral will also provide special recognition for all 16 million who served. or service members regardless of rank who receive the Medal of Honor. The organization of which I serve as the Utah State Chair, State Funeral for World War II Veterans, has launched a nationwide petition drive to convince the president to designate a state funeral in Washington, D.C., for the final remaining Medal of Honor recipient from World War II. Military funeral honors provided at Arlington National Cemetery differ from those. Letters to the editor of newspapers have been the spark that ignited national ideas. Men like World War II Medal of Honor recipient George Wahlen, a medic from Odgen who went into the thick of battle to treat 14 wounded Marines on Iwo Jima. Utah has long been at the forefront of honoring our veterans and sending forth heroes to serve.

Everyone had their time and story in this movie. The actors whom all did an excellent job, they were convincing, Ma dong Seok is like always the freaking badass. Why am I so ridiculously excited? The good pacing of this movie, you get sucked into it the minute you watch it. It has the loads of action, thrilling scenes, gory parts and hair-raising parts troughout this movie. The music added so much emotion and tumult in this movie. I said 'wtf' troughout the whole movie, I could feel my heart pumping, heck, I am even sweating! But not all movie directors can make it so perfectly like they did here. Yes it all has the same old same story, its lighthearted. This is one of the best zombie movies in the world. Only time will tell whether the film reaches the critical heights of Gore Verbinski's The Ringor the lows of One Missed Call.Rewatch Value 10 If you want the story, the actors, magnificant screenplay and feel your heart skipping a beat? Don't miss this great movie!! Train to Busan has been one of the most talked-about horror films of the past decade, with Shaun of the Dead co-writer/director Edgar Wright citing it as the " best zombie movie I've seen in forever." This success spawned the standalone sequel, Peninsula, though with it having seen a more mixed response from critics in comparison to its predecessor and the overall reluctance from audiences for English-language horror remakes, anticipation may not be as high for Last Train to New York. With the Under Siege reboot still in the early stages of development and the action horror remake having languished in development hell for five years, it seems likely that the latter project is still taking priority for Tjahjanto and the studios backing it. As many details are still largely unknown on the remake, it's difficult to speculate whether the Last Train portion of the title connects to the apocalyptic nature of the film's story or points towards a nighttime setting for its events. Given the Train to Busanremake is being made for an American audience, it makes sense that the story would shift to New York, one of the few major metropolitan cities to still have multiple running passenger trains. No update on when production could begin on the film has been given at the time of writing. In the announcement, it was revealed that the Train to Busan English-language remake is now reportedly titled Last Train to New York. Nearly a year after the director signed on to helm the film, Deadline reports that Tjahjanto is currently working on a reboot of the Steven Seagal-led action franchise Under Siege. Related: Why Children Are So Important In The Train To Busan Movies Development on an English-language Train to Busan remake has been in the works since the film's release, though progress began gaining steam when New Line Cinema, James Wan's Atomic Monster and Coin Operated partnered for the remake with Warner Bros. The film was also a box office hit, grossing nearly $100 million against its $8.5 million budget and breaking Korea's audience record of over 10 million theatergoers upon its release. Premiering at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, Train to Busan has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for its fast-paced action, layered characters and social commentary layered in between the terror. The cast for the original Train to Busan included Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Ma Dong-seok, Kim Su-an, Choi Woo-shik, Ahn So-hee and Kim Eui-sung. The original film, written by Park Joo-suk and directed by Yeon Sang-ho, revolved around a divorced father who teams up with other passengers on a bullet train heading from Seoul to Busan as a zombie apocalypse suddenly breaks out in the country. The Train to Busan English-language remake from V/H/S 2 director Timo Tjahjanto reportedly gets a new title with Last Train to New York. Like Ryu, she's searching the world for strong opponents to defeat and spread the legend of the Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu style.ĭescribed as the first grappler in Street Fighter history to have a projectile, Laura is designed for those that enjoy getting up close and personal and using command grabs and quick moves to play mind games. Laura Matsuda is a Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu user and heir to the famed Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu fighting style. At least one time I even made someone rage quit on me because of tick throws. It falls apart if they guess correctly each time.Īnd like I would call tick throws gimmicky stuff.in the past if I would take an entire round by just using tick throws, I would view it as gimmicky or cheesy. I use that stuff like that myself in fights.putting someone into a situation where there's 2 or 3 possible outcomes. ) But from looking at the lingo I'm not too far off in some ways.where if someone has it down they can shut something down.butt if they don't know or can't perform the shutdown then they are taken apart helplessly.īut I myself even call 50/50 situations gimmicky in the spirit of the word.after all it is based on guesses. Well like I say we may be using different definitions of the word. You can however safely backdash or jump away after a command grab. Javits is also wrong in a few parts - Laura CAN throw you from any light (even if she needs command grabs to do it from jabs) and jumping out of tick throws will mostly lead you to be swatted out of the air. Throw loops are also a gimmick now, but if you get caught in them it's just your fault. The rest of her gameplan revolves around making you take the wrong decision through frame traps and setups and there's nothing really gimmicky in that, that's part of fighting games. The only "gimmick" in her toolkit are her command dashes, but they are safe if you know when to use them. All her lights lead to true 50/50 situations due to the fact her command grab is now 5f. Well when I say "gimmick" or "gimmicky" I refer to what one would see as unintuive, powerful things that are relied on and especially effective against people who don't know the guts of the whole thing, but as well because of the guessworks required it can be effective on people beyond that too.Except that there's nothing "gimmicky" there anymore. He explains her options and how to counter them. Originally posted by LockM:He gives solid advice, nothing gimmicky, neither are Laura her BASIC setupss gimmicky. It's not like ok you got comboed and start over, it continues in an extended way.Īnd what he draws attention to in the end as a general rule, what he calls the jump + throw OS it''s unusual nature gameplay-wise (to me) makes it a gimmick to answer a 's not something straightforward like someone threw the wrong thing at the wrong time and now gets punished for it. With Laura it's an extended sequence really of various hits and grabs and trying to deal with it is quite unintuitive. "blender" is a good term for any sequence that takes most of your life while feeling helpless because you guessed wrong, or due to multiple wrong guesses in a sequence, or because it exploits something hard to react to or something you can't react to. This guy explains Laura options and setups, so that you get when to hit back / how to defend.Īlso, unless something changed in S2, Laura still doesn't have any "blender" (a term used to design Mika mixups in the corner that involve guessing between right/left/high/low/block/tech/jump, basically very low chance to defend efficiently), just setups that lead to mixups, usually 50/50s. Arranger Workstation Workstations include recording and sequencing features that musicians can use to compose or arrange new music. These are useful for computer music or sound production, but are expensive and complicated to use. Synthesizer Sound engineers use "synths" to create new sounds or reshape existing ones. Musicians use MIDI controllers along with audio software to trigger sounds stored on their computer. MIDI Controller A "controller" can't make sounds on its own and must be connected to a computer to be useful. They usually contain only a handful of piano-like instruments, which makes them a little less useful with Synthesia. Here is a short guide on the various names given to keyboards. There are some great deals to be had at places like eBay, Craigslist, Amazon Marketplace, or even your local garage sale. And since the technology behind MIDI hasn't changed in decades, you can still connect old keyboards to Synthesia without any trouble. The used market for keyboards is really healthy. The figure comes from modelling work by the NHS Strategy Unit, forecasting new referrals for PTSD between 2020//23. There could be more than 230,000 new cases of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in England as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the Royal College of Psychiatrists has warned. Raghib Ali, the UK government’s independent adviser on covid-19 and ethnicity, said the higher rates of hospitalisation and death for south Asian and Black people almost certainly reflects differences in vaccination rates. Living in densely populated areas with higher levels of deprivation was also a risk factor. These include occupation, particularly in the case of frontline workers, and household size, especially for those containing schoolchildren and older relatives. The final report into covid-19 disparities, produced by the UK Cabinet Office’s Race Disparity Unit, outlines the main risk factors in ethnic minority groups. The results suggest that people’s immunity from covid-19 increased, although the study does not yet include data on how well people are protected against infection or disease.Ī greater proportion of Black and south Asian people are dying with covid-19 than white people in the UK, despite case numbers in the latter group being higher, a study has warned. The Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines all produced strong antibody and T cell responses, regardless of which vaccine had been given for the first two doses. The researchers measured levels of antibodies and T cells in the participants’ blood. The trial tested seven vaccines as boosters: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Novavax, Janssen, Moderna, Valneva and Curevac. They were given booster vaccines 10 to 12 weeks after their second dose. The study involved 2878 adults aged 30 or over, all of whom previously had two doses of either the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine or the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
